Audit Payment and Information
Audit Fee: S$545.00 (inclusive of 9% GST) per audit – SRFAC executive will inform you to make the payment once the audit has been confirmed to proceed. Training centre which fails the first audit is required to pay for each subsequent re-audit. Institutions under SingHealth only need to pay S$500 (without GST) due to Group GST Registration.

BCLS+AED
- All existing BCLS TC/ITC will need to be on the BCLS+AED track by 1st June 2019.
- Accredited BCLS+AED TCs will be able to conduct BCLS+AED and CPR(Hands-Only)+AED courses, while accredited CPR+AED TCs are only allowed to conduct CPR(Hands-Only)+AED courses.
- To be an accredited BCLS+AED Instructor Training Centre (ITC), it must be a valid accredited BCLS+AED Provider Training Centre (TC).
- Accredited BCLS+AED ITCs will be able to conduct BCLS+AED Instructor courses, while accredited CPR+AED ITCs will be able to conduct CPR+AED Instructor courses. BCLS+AED Instructors will be able to conduct BCLS+AED and CPR(Mouth-To-Mouth/Hands-Only)+AED courses, while CPR+AED Instructors are only allowed to conduct CPR(Hands-Only)+AED courses.
- The default Instructor-to-Manikin-to-Learner ratio is 1:1:4. However, SRFAC will allow BCLS+AED/CPR+AED course Training Centres and Instructor Training Centres to cater 1 Instructor and 2 manikins with up-to 6 learners (1:2:6) for manikin-related hands-on (ie. CPR with AED, unconscious choking relief) if there are sufficient manikins to support; AND, Instructors are experienced and capable.
- Learners enrolled in the E-learning packages can complete the theory lesson component online but the remaining hands-on practice, practical and theory assessment must be conducted in the presence of the instructor for all SRFAC accredited courses.
- Specific manikins are required to be used for all BCLS+AED and CPR(Hands-Only)+AED practical assessment of one rescuer CPR from 1st June 2019. For more information, refer to the document “SRFAC BCLS+AED and CPR+AED Manikin Specification” in the media section after logging in to SRFAC website.
- ITCs seeking new or renewal accreditation will only need to submit 1 date for the audit. Provider TCs will need to provide 1 date when seeking new accreditation and 3 dates for renewal accreditation.
- It is recommended to start the renewal accreditation application 3 months before its expiry. There should be a period of at least 3 weeks from the date of application (based on complete submission of required documents via SRFAC website) to the earliest audit date provided.

CPR+AED
- CPR(Mouth-To-Mouth)+AED course will no longer be offered from 1st May 2020.
- CPR(Hands-Only)+AED course will be the default CPR+AED course to be offered by accredited Training Centres (TCs) from 1st May 2020.
- CPR+AED Instructor Training Centres (ITCs) will need to revise their materials to cater for the Hands-Only version of the instructor course by 1st May 2020.
- Learners seeking to learn mouth-to-mouth ventilations are encouraged to enrol for BCLS+AED course.
- Accredited CPR+AED TCs are only allowed to conduct CPR(Hands-Only)+AED courses.

Standard First Aid
- “SFA+AED” (accredited under NFAC/SRFAC) should be re-titled SFA as CPR(Hands-Only)+AED is an integral part of Standard First Aid.
- From 1st January 2023, there will be no class size limits but a practical training ratio of 1 instructor to 8 learners exists for non-manikin activities (ie bandaging, tourniquet, conscious choking, Metered Dose Inhalers and Adrenaline auto-injectors). The Instructor-to-Manikin-to-Learner ratio is 1:1:4 for practical sessions involving CPR, unconscious choking and AED topics.
- From 1st June 2019, TC for Standard First Aid must be:
- Standard First Aid (SFA) syllabus outline has been revised and will be implemented on 1st June 2020.
- From 1st June 2019, CPR+AED component within SFA will be the Hands-Only version.
- TCs offering to provide E-learning packages for Standard First Aid and Child First Aid courses are recommended to seek approval with Skillsfuture Singapore (SSG) for the E-learning track to ensure consistency in the delivery of the course.
- Learners enrolled in the E-learning packages can complete the theory lesson component online but the remaining hands-on practice, practical and theory assessment must be conducted in the presence of the instructor for all SRFAC accredited courses.
- Provider TCs will need to provide 1 date when seeking new accreditation and 3 dates for renewal accreditation.

SRFAC Advanced Courses
- The practical training ratio for Advanced Course* Training Centres and Instructor Training Centres to cater 1 Instructor and up-to 5 learners (1:5) from the current 1 Instructor and up-to 4 learners (1:4).
*Advanced courses refer to SRFAC accredited life support courses such as Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) course, Life Support Course for Nurses (LSCN), Pre-hospital Paediatric Life Support (PPLS) course, Advanced Paediatric Life Support (APLS) course and Neonatal Resuscitation Programme (NRP).
Basic Cardiac Life Support with Automated External Defibrillator (BCLS+AED) course, Hands-Only Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation with Automated External Defibrillator (CPR“Hands-Only”+AED) course, Standard First Aid (SFA) course and Child First Aid (CFA) course are considered Basic courses. - Advanced course Training Centres and Instructor Training Centres which have undergone accreditation since 2022 onwards and implemented the 2021 resuscitation guidelines published by Singapore Medical Journal (authored by SRFAC) will have their accreditation validity status extended to 5 years instead of 2 years. Training Centres which have been accredited since 2022 will also be accorded 5 years from the date of their accreditation in 2022.
- From 1st May 2023, a valid BCLS+AED Provider certificate is required for the following:
a. Enrolment of advanced provider courses (full or refresher).
b. Enrolment of advanced instructor courses.
c. Renewal of advanced course faculty status (Instructor, Chief Instructor, Instructor-Trainer, Chief Instructor-Trainer and Auditors). - In the event an individual is exempted from the practical component/assessment of the BCLS+AED provider course due to age–limit/exclusion (as stated by the respective healthcare institution) or medical conditions, the individual should undergo the BCLS+AED theory component and pass the theory assessment, to be conducted under exam conditions in-lieu of the complete BCLS+AED Provider certificate. Accredited BCLS+AED Training Centres may issue a “Theory-Only” certificate for the above situation. For audit purposes, Training Centres will be required to verify and document the proof of such exemption cases for “Theory-Only” certificates.
